How to Find Your Dasha
Your Dasha sequence is calculated from the Moon's position in one of the 27 Nakshatras (lunar mansions) at birth. The remaining years in that Nakshatra's ruling planet period become your starting Dasha — then you move through the sequence above in order.
Within each Mahadasha (major period), there are Antardashas (sub-periods) for all 9 planets — each about 1/9th of the main period's duration. The planet ruling the Antardasha modifies and activates themes within the main period.
Precise Dasha calculation requires your exact birth time and location. Even 15 minutes of difference can shift the Dasha balance by weeks — which matters greatly for timing predictions.
