Nishruti Meditation: When Hearing Transcends Sound

Nishruti is not merely a meditation technique. It is a metaphysical orientation toward Reality.
The Three Planes of Hearing
Human consciousness evolves through three subtle echelons:
**Shruti (श्रुति) — Sacred Hearing** The stage of receiving wisdom. Revelation. Scripture. Sound as divine transmission. Here, Truth is heard.
**Anusruti (अनुश्रुति) — Integrated Hearing** The stage of following and embodying what is heard. Here, Truth is practiced.
**Nishruti (निश्रुति) — Transcended Hearing** The stage beyond vibration. No sound. No listener. No interpretation. Here, Truth simply IS.
What is Nishruti?
Nishruti is not absence. It is causeless presence. It is: - The silence between two thoughts - The pause between two breaths - The awareness before identity
The Core Insight
All suffering arises from identification with sound — and here, sound symbolizes thoughts, narratives, memory, identity, and emotional noise.
When hearing transcends sound, identity dissolves. Nishruti is the space where: - Knower collapses into Knowing - Seeker dissolves into Seeing - Listener disappears into Listening
This is Singularity Consciousness.
